Our third annual Recovery Walk for Overdose Awareness was held at Somerset Area High School on August 29, 2026.

Attendees took part in a walk, heard from speakers, and connected with local organizations offering recovery, mental health, and family support services and remembered loved ones lost to overdose.

Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs  (DDAP) Secretary Latika Davis-Jones assisted Jennifer Ickes, community program educator for UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Twin Lakes, in teaching the "Color Monster" lesson of the Healthy Alternatives for Little Ones (HALO) prevention program on 10/13/26 at a Berlin Headstart PreK class.

Save a Life Day, and we were proud to partner with UPMC Western Behavioral Health and the Somerset County Sheriff's office to help spread awareness and provide life-saving resources to our community.

We handed out Narcan and other important resources while educating the community on the dangers of substance use and the importance of being prepared to help save a life!

Good Vibes Save Lives is a family-friendly event that brings our community together through music, activities, awareness, and connection while offering suicide prevention resources and support for those impacted by suicide.
