OPIOID SETTLEMENT FUNDING

Funding Opportunity available to better serve Somerset County, PA residents with Opioid Substance Use Disorder services. These funds are made available from settlements entered into by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and opioid manufacturers, distributors, and pharmacy chains.

The Somerset County Commissioners and the Somerset Single County (SCA) for Drug & Alcohol are accepting requests for funding proposals (RFP) from interested organizations and agencies for innovative and strategic programs related to the Opioid epidemic in Somerset County, PA.
​
Applications will be reviewed by the Somerset SCA Advisory Board.
Through allocation of these settlement funds, we strive to:

Maximize the impact of current opioid-related initiatives.
Protect life and improve the quality of life for our community members.
Assist in elevating prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery and diversion programs.
Continue building effective substance use disorder services for Somerset County, PA residents.
Provide a funding stream for sustainable, collaborative, and focused projects.

All awards will be reviewed by The Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania Opioid Misuse and Addiction Abatement Trust for compliance with Exhibit E.​
